Since finding out, back in December, that I was pregnant I've been trawling around for ideas and products to decorate the nursery. One thing that has surprised me is the amount of nursery-geared stuff out there that I would love to have in any other part of my house, so I decided to share some of these with you this week. To me, altogether, these say nursery, but individually they would work in any other part of the house.
From top to bottom:
Tree bookcase by Shawn Soh
Amy Butler retro lampshade from The Old Lamp Shed
Shoe progression from Real Simple* **
Lovebirds fabric mobile from BabyJives
Tree decal from Cox and Cox (this one's on the way to my house right now!)
Embroidery hoops display from The Purl Bee using Liberty of London fabrics
*I saw this idea on pinterest and loved it, but I cannot find the tutorial for it anywhere on Real Simple. If anyone can find it, please post a link in the comments! But, honestly, it doesn't look like it'd be too difficult to figure out: shadow box, pretty paper, shoes, adhesive, labels. I'm not into shoes for babies (they don't need shoes! they can't walk!), but I think I might do it with socks. How freaking precious would that be?
**Okay, this one might violate the anywhere-in-the-house principle, but I love it so who cares.
